B-2 stealth bomber, can you see it back there?

Week Seven
This has been another great week! On Saturday we went to the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base to see the museum. We wanted to see the Air Force One, but we didn't get there in time. That was okay though, because the museum itself was huge! I think my favorites were the B-2 Stealth Bomber and the Apollo 15 moon-lander. The Inter-Continental Ballistic Missiles were amazing too. They are so BIG in real life! We took a few pictures, but they're kind of hard to see because it was all inside.
Apollo 15

Joshua and Nathan, the astronauts!

Joshua has gotten really good with his Lincoln logs and legos lately, especially on rainy days, so I just had to add these pictures.

On Tuesday we went on a picnic in this park in Mason. It has a large playground and this water fountain, which the boys had a blast playing in. It was tempting to join them on such a warm summer day. (Yes, the humidity is here!)

Week Six- Cincinnati Zoo
We had another great week! We woke up this morning and decided to go to the zoo. It was well worth it. It was one of the best zoos I've ever seen, with everything spread out and lots of trees in between. The exhibits were great and it was a lot of fun to see a lot of the animals being very active today. Quite a few were swimming, including the polar bear which we posted pictures of below. The giraffe exhibit is brand new, letting you get closer than ever to them. We had a great time.

The Polar Bear exhibit was awesome! We could watch him swim underwater!
Isaac had fun too!

Week Five
I can't believe how fast the internship is flying by! By the end of this week we'll be halfway done. We had a lot of fun this past week. The boys started a tumbling class last Wednesday and had a blast. Joshua goes by himself while Sean and I switch off going with Nathan. It's great because they have the different classes by age, all at the same time. So while the boys are in two different classes, they are in the same gym simultaneously, so we can go as a family. They have a lot of fun climbing over walls, jumping on trampolines, hanging on bars and diving into pits. It's a great way to tire them out. They'll go once a week until we leave.

There was a crane the boys could actually use to move a pile of foam rocks. They put the rock into the scoop and Joshua would "drive" it, moving it over and dumping them into a bin. I think Sean had as much fun as the boys did!

I thought this was really cool- we built an arch! I thought it would make a great object lesson for Sunday School. Which reminds me, Sean and I were called to be Sunday School teachers on Sunday! We get to teach the 17 and 18-yr-olds next week.

This was a really fun playground area. It was a giant treehouse with a slide, tunnels, nets to crawl through, and it kept going and going. The boys could have stayed there for days.
This was a great water play area. They got to put on raincoats (they still got wet) and play with all kinds of water toys.
On Saturday we went to the Cincinnati Children's Museum. What a great place! Here are some pictures-

Week Four
What a week! We had some more exciting adventures as some huge storms came through bringing tornados to the Cincinnati area. The closest one was a mile north of us and wow, can those storms be exciting. It was tempting to get in the car and go chase them, but we decided just to watch the lightning fromt he patio. It was like watching a fireworks show- dancing all over the sky. The next morning it continued. I was here at home with the boys watching the t.v. again and the main front was going to the south of us instead of the north and I knew that Sean would be driving through that area sometime that morning, though I didn't know exactly when. When I heard the tornado sirens going off I looked out the window to see the pouring rain going almost sideways. It was crazy. Sean came home later and told me he had been driving on the freeway to downtown in it. He saw this huge black cloud coming down in front of him and he thought, 'if that's a tornado, I have nowhere to go. He started driving through marble-sized hail and saw other cars stopped under bridges. He said it was very exciting.
That evening things had calmed down to just overcast so we went grocery shopping. As we were loading up the car it started to rain. We're only a half mile from the store, but by the time we left the parking lot it was pouring again and the wind was swirling. We got soaked just runing from our car to the apartment getting the kids and groceries in. It was amazing.

Week Three
Well, it's hard to believe that we're 1/4 of the way through already. Sean's loving P&G. It's been really nice to be so close to the office- he's been able to come home for lunch every day that he doesn't have a lunch meeting. On Memorial Day we went to the ward picnic after we came back from Palmyra. It was the first day that it felt humid, but it's not bad yet. It's just in the 80's right now, so it's really nice when it's not raining. The picnic was in a really nice park in Loveland. That's ones of the great things about Cincinnati- there's parks everywhere. Most have big playgrounds that the boys love and several have tennis courts that Sean and I took advantage of yesterday. We've started exploring more and more. One thing that we've observed is that when you drive around on the freeways, you don't see very much of the city because there's so many trees. You feel like you're in the middle of the country when you're really in the middle of town, going up and down rolling hills with trees and bushes along the side and somewhere in the middle of it the poeple live.
We also tried out the pool yesterday. It was still cold! It seemed like it was warm outside until we got into the pool and oooh! It was freezing! It will be really nice when it does get really hot though.
