Visiting Grandpa's Office

When we visited Oregon last Christmas, we went over and had lunch with my dad in Corvallis one day. Josh asked if we were going over to my dad's office (we usually do), and when I told that we weren't this time, he threw a fit. My mom thought it was hilarious that a kid would throw a fit over not being able to go to the dentist. Anyway, this time I made sure that we made over there for cleanings. It's amazing what a great treasure box will do to motivate a kid. Plus having Grandpa as the dentist makes it that much more fun!

Animals

One of the afternoons that we were at Mom and Dad Morrison's, Dad took us out to a friends place to see their horses. They were so nice, letting us bring quite a big group of kids.

Brushing the horses.

Seeing the foal.

They had two miniature horse, and let the kids ride one bareback, and hooked the other to a buggy.

Isaac loved the baby foal.

I think these little buggies are the cutest thing! The kids loved them.

Sean got a turn driving it.

Mom and Dad's dogs had puppies a couple weeks before we got there. They are so cute. We were seriously considering getting one, but when we saw and were reminded of how much work puppies are, we decided to postpone getting a dog for while. (My hands are little full right now.)

Isaac did a good job taking this picture. Cute little guy, huh? Almost enough to tempt me.

Pinata at Grandma and Grandpa's

After the family reunion we all headed down to Mom and Dad Morrison's for a few more days . Since we didn't have time for the traditional pinata at the reunion, we did it in their backyard. It's a tradition that's always a "hit". :)

There were two pinatas, one for the younger kids, and one for the older. Josh was the last of the younger kids to go, and had no problem knocking all the candy out.

The booty.

Oregon Coast Aquarium

After the reunion, we stopped in Newport to go the the Oregon Coast Aquarium with Beth and her kids.

This is a huge anaconda.

These tunnels are the best part. The made in the tank that Keiko used to live in, after they released him into the wild.

Josh finished up the school year studying about oceans, and was so excited to see the sharks.

Watching for sea lions.

FHE- Armor of God

Dave and Christine put together a fun FHE night at the reunion. We had a lesson on the Armor of God and broke into groups to build a piece of it. Then we got to dress Grandpa in it while we expained each piece. He was a good sport. :)

We made the shield of faith.
