Camping at Silver Falls - Memorial Day

On Memorial Day we went camping with my parents at Silver Falls State Park in Oregon. It was a perfect time to go. My dad took off the Tuesday after so when we got there on Monday, everyone else was leaving, and we got a nice, quiet, secluded spot that was close to the bathrooms and a playground, but not too close. :) The weather was awesome. All sunshine and no rain. To be honest I've been shocked at how nice it's been while we've been in Oregon. I was excited to go in May because it's so beautiful in the spring, and having the sunny weather has made it even better.
We also enjoyed being one with nature- just kidding! We actually borrowed my grandparents' motorhome and it was wonderful! We enjoyed hiking to all but one of the waterfalls and of course roasting marshmallows over the fire and making smores.
It's so beautiful there. We hadn't been there since we were first married and I had forgotten how beautiful and amazing the waterfalls are. The best are the ones you can walk underneath. The boys were amazed and actually did really well. We brought our double jogging stroller, which was a hassle, but definitely worth it. I don't think a regular stroller would have made it.

Planting a Garden

This year we moved too late to plant a garden here in Ohio. When I saw the deer in our back yard I realized that it was going to be more than just tilling up a spot in the yard, and so decided to wait until next year. Luckily the boys were able to help Grandma and Grandpa while we were there and they loved it! Josh can't wait until next year.

Matt and Carda's

After Beth and Matt's we went to Matt and Carda's to stay the night with them. When we got there we heard the tragic news- Carda had lost her pregnancy. They were planning on going to the hospital the next day, so we decided to stay and watch their kids. We enjoyed spending the time we could with them and hopefully we were able to be of some help to them during that trying time. The kids had a blast playing together that day, and we were grateful we could be there to help.

Beth and Matt's

After the sisters weekend we stayed a night at Beth and Matt's. Beth cut my hair and did an awesome job, and we all had fun their guitar game on the Wii. The boys loved playing with their cousins.

Sister Weekend

Me, Christine, and Beth

Me, a total stranger, Christine, and Beth

My sister-in-law Carda, organized a sisters weekend for all the sisters on Sean's side. We had a a lot of fun doing a photo scavenger hunt, (which is where these pictures came from), having Beth do pedicures on us, eating at the Chesesecake Factory, shopping and just spending time together. We had a blast! Thanks Carda!

Hike to the Y

While the movers were in our apartment last Monday, I needed to find a way to get the boys out of the house, so I thought, why not take them on a hike to the Y? Josh has been asking to go for months, and I was feeling ambitious, so we went! And they did great! I was worried at first because Nathan did NOT want to go, but after a few turns he got more into it, and as we got closer and closer, he even got excited. Now everytime they see it, they yell, " There's the Y, we climbed all the way up there!" I'm so proud of them!

Last Family Walk on Campus

We love to take family walks. It's something we've always done, since Sean and I dated and we continue to go as often as we can, especially on Sundays. These past two years we usually have gone down to campus, which is a perfect place to go and let the boys run around, when there are hardly any people around. This last Sunday was our last opportunity to go on the BYU campus, so we took a few pictures to remember it. It was a beautiful day!

Graduation!
