We got a break from the rain on Halloween! We had a fun evening trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. Josh wore a morph suit, Nathan and Isaac were transformers, Hannah was a princess, and Emma was a ladybug.

Josh gets his Bear
So proud of this kid! He actually earned it several months ago, but with summer trips and soccer, this is the first pack meeting we've been able to attend here in this ward. He also earned three arrow points and is well on his way towards another.
They had a fun Halloween activity to go along with the pack meeting. They had a haunted house, crafts and a donut eating contest.

Trip to the Pumpkin Patch
We wanted to go to the pumpkin patch this year, so we decided to squeeze in a quick trip after the boys' soccer games on Saturday. Grandpa Frome had come up again to watch them so we invited him to join us. We found one that takes you on a hayride out to the pumpkin field to pick out your pumpkins.
Here they are, waiting for the wagon to leave. A bit of a sun glare, my bad.
Isaac wanted a really big one, but found they were heavier than he thought.
I got Hannah to pose for me.
Josh managed to carry this one!
Isaac liked this one at first, but I think he found a bigger one a few minutes later.
Nathan with his!
Hannah with hers.
Emma's first pumpkin patch.
It was a beautiful day and we had a gorgeous view of Mt. Hood.
Heading back.
Another photo opportunity. Five cute kids! (Nathan was mad about having to wait his turn to pull the wagon.)

Ft. Stevens
The kids had a couple days off of school so we decided to take advantage of it and go out to the coast for a night. Beth and Matt and their family joined us and we got a couple of yurts at Ft. Stevens State Park by Astoria. We ended up leaving and getting their a bit late, but we had a lot of fun the next day.
We had a pancake breakfast and we made a few more than we needed, so the kids had a pancake eating contest!
Madalyn was a big help and fed Emma for me.
Shoving the pancakes in their mouths!
We went out to the beach afterwards. It was a beautiful day out there. We had fun drawing in the sand and playing ball.
Hannah didn't want to wear her coat and got a bit chilly.
Josh with his writing stick.
Isaac joined in too.
There was this old shipwreck on the beach.

After the beach we packed up and headed to the fort and museum. It was neat to learn a little more of the history of Oregon. Here are the kids in an old jeep. We took this crew to Costco for lunch later.
Josh is currently doing a report on Lewis and Clark. Not a better place to go!
Sean played tour guide and read us the information about WWII.
I love that I have a husband that makes it fun for the kids!
