Isaac's First Soccer Game

Isaac played his first game today! He was so excited. Sean is coaching his team and they've been having these past couple weeks.

Lining up at the beginning of the game.

Sean, talking to the kids before they started.

Isaac, going after the ball.

Taking it down the field.

And he almost scores, the ball bounced off the post.

Our 10th Anniversary!

Wow, ten years already! It's amazing how ten years can go by so fast. It's been a great time for reflection for Sean and I and to be able to celebrate our wonderful marriage together.

Some highlights:
  • got married in the beautiful Portland, Oregon temple (the rain even stopped for pictures!)
  • we lived in four different states, Oregon, Idaho, Utah and Ohio
  • we had four beautiful children
  • had one of them develop type I diabetes, learned to thrive with it
  • we've driven through 21 states
  • earned an MBA (definitely a team effort)
  • bought two houses
  • owned six different cars
  • had two dogs

  • Personally I realized how much Sean is the perfect husband for me. He has so many strengths that help fill in my weaknesses, he's helped me become a better person, he's my best friend and there's no one else that I'd rather go through life with, good times and bad. I'm so blessed to have him by me side, and look forward to the next ten years and the rest ofeternity together. Our love has grown stronger and stronger each year.

The plan is to go on a trip together in August, but for now to celebrate we went out for some shopping and dessert the night of, and then went golfing the next day. It was my first time on a long golf course. Sean's taken me to some Par 3's and to driving ranges, but this was a the real thing. It was fun! I still don't know what I'm doing, but luckily I have a great coach who's patient with me.
No critiquing my swing. ;)

Sean, of course is a great golfer. It's fun to watch him.

Yes, I married an athlete.

I scanned some of my favorites from our wedding album. It was a wonderful day!

85 degrees in March!

It's been an unusually warm winter here in Ohio. It felt like we hardly even had one, and then when we had this week of 80 degree weather it almost felt like summer. The boys begged to get the sprinkler out, and when the thermometer read 85 degrees on Thursday, I gave in. It was warm!

Issac rides a bike with training wheels

We finally put the training wheels back on the rocket bike now that Nathan is tall enough to ride Josh's old one. Isaac was very excited not to have to ride the trike anymore. He took to it like a pro.

Cincinnati Fire Museum

We got to go as a family to Josh's monthly cub scout field trip on Saturday. They went to the Cincinnati Fire Museum downtown. It was a cool place to visit.

Picture in front of the building that used to be a fire station.

Hanging out with Daddy while we waited. Don't worry about her bare feet. It was 80 degrees that day. We drove straight there separate from everyone else, so we were on time. The rest of the group came about 15 min. later.

They had a fire pole that the kids could get on at about halfway up a split staircase. Always a lot of fun.

They had an exhibit about the 1937 Ohio river flood. That's the Museum Center/ Train Terminal in the mural. Something interesting we learned when we were there once, is that the building in the Batman comics is based off of it.

Some old fire trucks. Another interesting thing about Cincinnati is that all the old fire trucks were made here. It's the home of modern fire fighting.

The whole group.

Hannah's Eleven Months

Life has been a little crazy here in the Morrison household these past few weeks, (it's a good, busy crazy, but crazy nonetheless) so I have some catching up to do with the blog. Hannah breezed through the eleven month mark. She's not walking yet, but she's become a very fast crawler and is quickly exploring the world around her with enthusiasm. What she gets frustrated about it that she doesn't understand why she can't have everything she sees. She still has a happy personality, but she's becoming a big handful now that she is mobile. She never wants to sit still, which makes things tricky when we're at church, trying to feed her, or taking her on a walk in the stroller.
She's talking more and more, mostly just babbling and she's starting to learn sign language, which the boys are more than willing to teach her. They love it when she mimics them, in whatever form that is. She got in her second tooth quickly after the first, and it looks like the top teeth will also be making their appearance soon.

I tried to take some pictures of her in the backyard, but she wouldn't still for more than a few seconds. She loves the grass!

She loves her swing! She gets upset when I take her out of it.

Isaac's First Primary Talk

Isaac did a great job on his first talk in primary today. He walked right up to the podium and gave it, hardly nervous at all. His topic was, "prophets teach me to choose the right", and so he talked about Pres. Monson, some of his teachings and how excited he is about General Conference coming up in a few weeks. Great job Buddy!

Fine Arts Night

On Thursday we went over to the boys' school for Fine Arts Night. Josh was performing with the other 2nd graders and both the boys had artwork on display. It was a great night. Josh performed in a couple of folk songs they had learned in Music where they sang and danced. He a did a great job. He had been practicing for weeks and knew the songs very well.

Nathan made this great frog in Art class.

Josh made an awesome penguin out of clay.
