Isaac's Nine!

We are so proud of this kid! Isaac wanted a football party like Josh had so we invited his friends over for a fun Friday evening party.

Bristow History Night

Josh worked with his good friend Caden at school to do a report and build a replica of an African instrument called a balafon. They designed and built it completely by themselves. All Sean and I did was saw and drill the pieces for them. They did an awesome job!

Walk Through the American Revolution

Nathan had an amazing activity at school on Monday. They had been preparing for months for it... each kid had been assigned a character, and "expert" card and a battle to act out. They memorized their parts, put together props and costumes and got ready for the big day.
That morning a guy came from an organization and went through the history of the Revolutionary War with them. When it was time each child read their part, or acted out their battle. The facilitator had divided the class into groups and made a little competition out of it. The kids had a great time and I'm sure will remember it for years to come.
Nathan was Benjamin Franklin. He actually had two parts for it, and memorized them well. He also gave a great memorized explanation for "Writs of Assistance". The program went for two and a half hours, and Sean even took some time off work to see the first half that Nathan was in. It was fun to watch.

Reading Super Bowl

Isaac's teacher did a fun activity during the week before the Super Bowl. She had them compete to see who could read for the most minutes. It sparked Isaac's competitiveness because he read like crazy! On the last night he read for five hours! Needless to say, he won!
