Summer Fun

Hey, I've finally figured out how to get pics from my new phone onto our computer! Here's a few from our daily summer outings.

Hannah and Isaac enjoying a local city park.

Josh at Wildcat Park in Corvallis. We drove down there with Sean when he went on a recruiting trip to Oregon State University.
The kids loved this slide at a park I took them to in Wilsonville. Note: next time bring cardboard. It's not very fast.

These fountains were also at the park. Great way to cool off!
We got a social pass to the local country club (non-golf) and get to use the pool and driving range. I think the kids would live at the pool if they could. We've been there almost everyday. It's been great because Nathan and Isaac are finally swimming! Josh learned several years ago, but when I put Nathan and Isaac in swim lessons, the lady dunked them! They were terrified to put their faces in the water after that. After about a month with life jackets at the pool here, they got over their fear, and learned how to swim on their own and now love it!

Emma and Hannah love it too, though their a bit too little to swim on their own.

Seven months

We're well into summer and this beautiful girl is doing great! She's sitting by herself for a few seconds, and is getting faster at rolling around on the floor. She loves her jump-a-roo, baby toys, playing peek-a-boo, reading books and looking at mirrors. Another milestone this month- we've moved her from her bassinet to a crib, though she's still in our closet. She still wakes up too early in the morning to share a room with Hannah. She's slowing starting to figure out baby food.

Independence Day 2013

We went camping with my parents and Robbie and Kristen this year for the 4th of July. We met them at Sunnyside Park by Foster Reservoir on Wednesday night and stayed through Friday. My parents bought a motor home a few days before and we stayed at a double camp site. We played baseball, went swimming in the lake, went tubing and knee-boarding on the lake, enjoyed good food, and went to Brownsville to see the fireworks. We managed to only get a tad sunburned. The weather was perfect- warm enough to enjoyed the lake, but not too hot and so we were comfortable camping.

 Enjoying a game of baseball.
Grandma and Emma hanging around in the shade!
 Hannah, Kristen and Emmaleigh
 Hannah loves mini water bottles.
 Our happy girl!
 Joshua, Sean and Luke
The boys loved the big tube that fits four adults.
Hannah loved the boat as long as it was going slow. She thinks she should be able to drive it all by herself.
Grandpa enjoying the water. He let the boys push him off the boat three times! He's in heaven at the lake.
Seeing how many people we can put on the tube. Don't worry, we didn't actually pull it around like this.
 Chillin!

We experimented a bit with the food this time. Josh made some great cookies in the dutch oven. He got it perfect on the second batch. I also tried campfire pizza (note to self: turn it after 8 min. not 10), which turned out pretty good, even though it got a bit burned on each side. And we tried dough boys, which we found out work better if you soak the dowels in water first. Yum!
