Josh's Birthday, Ordination, and Temple Trip

Joshua is twelve! His birthday was a very special day. We started out by going out to breakfast at Elmer's with Grandma and Grandpa Frome and Ryan. It was very good and they brought out an ice cream Sunday for his birthday breakfast dessert. Afterwards we went back to the house, got ready for the day and then went over to the church for his ordination. Sean planned a little program with and prayer, song, a little lesson, the ordination, and then a testimony meeting. It was very nice. We had a lunch afterwards and then headed up to the Portland temple to do baptisms with his cousins. It was very special. My mom and I had prepared family names for him to do baptisms for and he really enjoyed it. My mom watch the kids for us outside so that we could enjoy the temple as a family. We were grateful for everyone that came and supported Josh!

That evening we had pizza and cake and ice cream at Matt and Carda's. He opened presents that night and Grandma and Grandpa Frome's.

Christmas

Christmas morning followed Christmas Eve very shortly. The kids were up at 1:15! We told them to go back to bed and after them coming in every hour or so and Lydia waking up at 3:00 I told them not to come into our room until 5:00am. It was fun that they were so excited! But Sean and I were up late the night before and needed a little sleep.

We enjoyed a fun morning seeing what Santa brought and opening gifts. For Sean and I, our favorite part is watching the kids give each other gifts. I took them out shopping one by one during Thanksgiving weekend and they were very thoughtful in choosing gifts for their siblings.

We enjoyed a relaxing morning and day playing games, watching movies and playing with new toys. We went to the park for a sunny afternoon.
