Lydia's First Time on the Ski Lift

 

First time Skiing this year

Cherry Peak finally opened! They opened on Dec. 28th, while we were in St. George, so this was the first day we could go. It was so nice that we only had to rent skis for Lydia, and even though there still wasn't a lot of snow and it was a little icy, we still had a great time!

 

Isaac broke his foot

I had just come back from the store, getting ready for our ski trip the next day when Hannah came out to the garage and yelled that Isaac had dropped a 45lb. plate on his foot! I walked into the kitchen where Sean was helping Isaac, who was screaming in pain. The entire bottom half of his foot was purple and gray and we were scared to death that it had been crushed. We took him to the emergency room, where he got x-rays and some IV medicine for the pain. He asked Sean for a blessing and after the blessing the color in his foot miraculously began to drain. He foot was only broke in a couple places, another miracle and he was told to wear a boot and he would be back normal in 2-3 months. After following up with the ortho, we also found out that if it had broken any higher up on his foot, he would have needed surgery. It was wasn't fun at all and definitely scary, but miraculous none the less!
