Josh gets an award and overnight field trip
Josh was recognized at his school's latest award's assembly for his problem solving skills. I went over with the kids and saw him get it. He's been doing an awesome job at school this year.
Sean got to go with Josh on the 4th grade overnight field trip! They had a great time! Here they are about to head out.
It was pioneer themed and they got to dress up and learn to do things like the pioneers did. The sawed wood, cooked on hobo stoves and other things.

Trip to Dentist/ Grandma and Granpa's
We took a day off of school to head down and get our teeth cleaned at my dad and Robbie's office. It was Hannah's first time and she did great. She'll even tell you, "Uncle Robbie checked my teeth and they're all healthy!" Afterwards we went to my parents to play for a couple hours. They were really excited to see the three new chicks that had hatched a couple weeks ago from eggs a hen had laid.
Isaac especially loves the chicks. He quick at catching them and spent awhile playing with theim.
Flag Plant 2014
Our cub scouts get to go to the Flag Plant at the Willamette National Cemetery every year for Memorial Day. We missed it last year because we had just moved here and I didn't know what was going on, but we got to this year and it was a really neat experience. They had an opening ceremony and Josh and Nathan got to carry the flags for our pack. They had a couple of short talks and a benediction, and then we got to go to our different sections to put the flags on the graves. The kids got to put in a flag, read the name, stand back and salute each one. The boys took it very seriously and did a great job. It was an amazing site to see the field of flags. It was perfect way to celebrate Memorial Day.

Spring Luau
The kids have been looking forward to the Spring Luau at their school for several weeks and were very excited to go. We got a pizza there and some tickets for the kids to do some activities and crafts. The kids each got a lei when they walked in. There was lots of dancing and fun!
The kids decided to make some grass "things". You can't call them skirts ;)
Nathan, Isaac and Hannah got their faces painted while Josh and Sean played bingo.
